The Absolute BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies
(You'll never make Toll House Again)
2 C. butter
4 C. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 C. sugar
5 C. blended oatmeal**
24 oz. chocolate chips
2 C. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
3 C. chopped pecans
**Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder. I put the pecans in the blender too. Many people SAY they don't like nuts in their cookies but pecans and chocolate chip cookies go hand-in-hand. I blend them into dust and people INHALE these cookies.
Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla: mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Add chocolate chips, and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
