Looks like Harry is teaming up with Clive Davis again. Hopefully Davis won't influence Harry's arrangements this time around.

QUOTE
A meeting followed this with fellow septuagenarian (soon to be octogenarian) Clive Davis. Of course, Doug had to go to Clives office to meet, where they discussed the direction that Clive was taking the company as Chief Creative Officer. Davis enthused poetically about the projects he was working on like a Santana album of Jimi Hendrix covers, a new Harry Connick, Jr. album of movie themes from the 1940s, Rod Stewart singing the Al Jolson songbook and a Gino Vanelli comeback album. Morris suggested that the label sign reunion projects from Brownsville Station and England Dan & John Ford Coley. Doug may be in his 70s but hes not stuck in the 70s. He understands that in tough economic times, people turn to the familiar to provide comfort, though he may not have been paying a lot of attention to the music business lately.

Bring it ON! I am ready for a new record and tour.

Guess we'll have to wait for the tour until after the Broadway run, though.

ok, boo to Clive, but "a new Harry Connick, Jr. album of movie themes from the 1940's"

actually sounds like a really awesome catalog of songs to pull from.

Clive?

bleh....

I honestly barely listened to that one. The track All the Way was awesome though, loved it, and I never really liked that song before that! ha

I am still.... waiting.... for 35 and 40. I guess they want to make it seem like he's younger but.... who cares, release the solo piano stuff! please! it's awesome!

And.... I would love to hear a full CD with Wynton and Harry in a smaller band setting.

meh, my .02

Love his stuff though, keep being awesome HCJR!
